City Council

The City of Chaska is seeking applicants for the vacant Council Member position serving Ward II. Applicants must be residents of Ward II and be willing to serve until the Special Election, which is planned for May 14, 2018. The vacancy will be filled through an application, interview and appointment process undertaken by the City Council. 

All applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20. Download an application and view a map of Ward II.

About the City Council
Chaska has a Council / City Administrator system. The council consists of 4 members each elected to staggered 4-year terms and a Mayor elected for a 2-year term. Other than residency, there are no specific qualifications that must be met to qualify for these offices. The City Council formulates city policy and the city administrator and staff are responsible for city administration.
