City Council

The City of Chaska is seeking applicants for the vacant Council Member position serving Ward IV. Applicants must be residents of Ward IV and be willing to serve the remainder of the current term, which will expire on December 31, 2020. The vacancy will be filled through an application, interview and appointment process undertaken by the City Council. 

All applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31. Download an application and view a map of Ward IV.

About the City Council
Chaska has a Council / City Administrator system. The council consists of 4 members each elected to staggered 4-year terms and a Mayor elected for a 2-year term. Other than residency, there are no specific qualifications that must be met to qualify for these offices. The City Council formulates city policy and the city administrator and staff are responsible for city administration.
