Chaska Police Department Statement 5.31.20

To continue our efforts to keep the community informed during these uneasy times, we wanted to provide an update for the night of May 31.

We have not received any specific information about threats or planned criminal acts in the City of Chaska. We will continue to have additional patrols on duty overnight to respond if anything changes.

We have received calls from residents who are seeing threats on social media directed to Twin Cities metro area. The Chaska Police Department is aware of these threats and has no information that they are credible.

The best place to find accurate information is on local law enforcement social media pages. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to monitor social media and other information sources for any credible threats.

It’s important to remember that there are still "typical" emergencies that we respond to, so don’t be alarmed by every siren you hear. If you see suspicious activity, call 911.

We are very proud to be members of a community that believes itself to be the "best small town in Minnesota." It is hard to prove that we truly are the best, but it doesn’t stop us from striving to achieve that status.

We see our department’s goals and values as being totally in tune with those of our community. When you see us, introduce yourself! We’d like to know you.
