The 2040 Comprehensive Plan acts as a framework for the next 20+ years in Chaska. The plan is a guiding tool that addresses different areas like residential, industrial and open spaces, and it provides a glimpse into what Chaska could look like in the years to come.
City staff have built a draft of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan with input from the public, the Planning Commission, Park Board and City Council. You can review a current draft of the plan below.
The Chaska City Council approved a draft of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan on November 18, 2018, which means the plan will now be sent to the jurisdictions listed below for review and comment. These authorities will have six months to review and/or comment on the draft plan. After the six-month review and comment period, the 2040 Comprehensive Plan will be submitted to the Metropolitan Council for final approval.
