North East Collector Road Project Resident Detour & Service Interruption Notice
The City of Chaska has scheduled to reconstruct a section of County Road 44 with an extension of the existing watermain system, and the addition of a bypass lane. The project will extend water service and access via the new collector road being constructed between County Road 44 and Creek Road. The construction of the road and utilities will require a full closure for a portion of County Road 44 for 1 week. Attached is the planned detour and closure area for the project. There are advanced closure notice signs being installed around the area of County Road 44 (Big Woods Blvd) for the closure dates of October 16th through 22nd.
This mailing is also a notification of an upcoming water service interruption/shutdown that will be occurring and impacting all residents of SW Chaska. This shut down is necessary to further build out the City’s trunk water system. It is anticipated (weather permitting) to occur on October 16, 2017. The shutdown will be from approximately 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. You will also be notified at least 24 hours before the actual shut down takes place by Chaska Water Department Personnel by a hand delivered notification. If you are not home at the time of delivery, the notification will be placed in your front door. The City will work closely with the contractor to get the water back in service as soon as possible the day of the shutdown.
