Miranda and Officer Boll

Miranda is a 16 yr old Chaska resident who was adopted into her family in 2014 from the Carver County foster care system. She and her sister arrived into foster care with only the clothes on their backs and now, with the help of her family and friends, she wants to give back to children who are in similar situations. She has decided that her high school graduation "Capstone" project will be collecting items for children being placed into foster care. She will be bringing the foster care kits to The Hope House in Chanhassen and to Carver County Community Social Services. Miranda has also generously donated six foster care kits to the Chaska Police Department for officers to distribute as officers locate families in need.
The items she collects this year will be placed into duffel bags and backpacks so when the children arrive to their foster home they have some necessary items to call their own. She is looking for donations of new backpacks, socks, underwear, T-shirts, toiletry items such as toothpaste, shampoo, female hygeine products, soap, and lotion, notebooks/pens, blankets, winter gear, and small games or decks of cards. She is also accepting donations of gift cards to area restaurants in $5.00 increments. She is primarily accepting donations for children between the ages of 10-17 but will gladly accept donations for children of all ages.

If you would like to help Miranda and her family "pay it forward", you can arrange pick up or drop off with her parents Wendy & Ron at 952-361-9993 or wendysweeones92@gmail.com
