You are invited to a special FREE Carnival on Friday, March 4th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm! Come to the Chaska Community Center to kick off the new spring season.  There will be carnival games, snacks, and an inflatable jumper.  All ages are welcome.

Active Older Adults (AOA) are invited for a wee bit o fun at the new Chaska Event Center to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Thursday, March 17th.  Beginning at 11:30 am, enjoy an Irish meal, along with musical entertainment by Ken Wanovich (see photo below).  Lucky door prizes and Irish trivia will be a part of the fun also.  The cost is $8.  Please register by March 10th by calling the CCC front desk at 952-448-5633 or go online at

Carver County Public Health and Live Smoke Free are partnering together to host a FREE smoke-free housing workshop for Chaska property owners and managers on Tuesday, March 29.  The event will be held in the Council Chambers at Chaska City Hall from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm and will include lunch.  Please register at least three days in advance by calling 651-645-3005 x325 or by emailing

The Live Smoke Free organization and an attorney from the Public Health Law Center will be on hand to answer questions, including what steps need to be taken to adopt a smoke free policy for your building, is it even legal to adopt such a policy, and what should you know about e-cigarettes and medical marijuana. 

This event has proven to be a very helpful learning experience for property owners, landlords, and managers.  Don't miss out! 



Homelessness is a huge problem.  Come to the Chaska Community Center on Saturday, March 12th from 2:00 - 4:30 pm to learn what you can do to help.  OneCommunity, which is a coalition of community partnerships, and almost a dozen guest panelists, will address homeless concerns and include participants in an open forum. 


There will NOT be a Chaska City Council Meeting on Monday, March 7th.  The next meeting will be Monday, March 21st at 7:00 pm at Chaska City Hall.

The Chaska Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, March 9th at 7:00 pm at Chaska City Hall.  The agenda will include approval of a concept plan from Pulte Homes for a 77-unit residential subdivision off Pioneer and Bavaria Road near the round-about, as well as approval of a final plat for Kusske Construction of a two-lot residential subdivision in the SW Chaska Growth Area.  The complete agenda will be available on line Friday at
