A hit-and-run driver caused serious damage at multiple sites in the City of Chaska early this morning, Thursday 5 May 2016. A homeowner on Shadow Lane was awakened at about 1 a.m. to find someone had crashed into their garage, impacting the cars inside.  Then, in the nearby neighborhood of Autumn Woods, a bank of mailboxes was found damaged.  There is evidence to suggest these two incidents were related.

Officers are seeking the suspect vehicle.  It is believed to be a Jeep Wrangler, silver or grey in color.  The vehicle may have extensive front end damage.

There have been no reports of injury.

Anyone with information about this incident – the vehicle or its driver – is encouraged to contact Detective Jamie Personius at: 952-448-4200.
