Hit and run driver identified, cited
Chaska PD has identified the driver involved in two hit and run crashes that caused significant damage during the early morning hours of Thursday, May 5, 2016.  Weston Parrack, 24, of Chaska was cited for two counts of leaving the scene of a collision without injury.
Officers were called to two neighborhoods on Shadow Lane and Autumn Woods Drive for damage.  On Shadow Lane, homeowners were awakened to a crash and found their garage and the cars inside it had sustained extensive damage.  They saw the offending vehicle back out of the garage and speed away from the home.  Next, officers located a bank of damaged mailboxes in the nearby neighborhood along Autumn Woods Drive.
Det. Jamie Personius was able to identify the vehicle as a 2014 Jeep Wrangler from parts left at the scenes.  Through further investigation, he was able to identify the driver as Mr. Parrack, who is also the owner of the vehicle.
Mr. Parrack was cited for failing to stop and report the damage as required by state statute.  A court date has not yet been set.
