A Message from Chief Knight

Community Support

We are experiencing an outpouring of support from the community in the wake of the Dallas police murders. Many people have taken the time to go out of their way express their concern and respect for our CPD officers, as our national tries to cope with and understand what happen over the past few days. In addition to the many caring comments we have received:

  • An unknown person/persons placed a flower arrangement, surrounded by American flags, with a sign that reads, "Police Lives Matter - Our prayers are with you" outside our police station, at City Hall.
  • The Chaska Fire Department sent a supportive message to our personnel, and brought in food for us.
  • An American Family Insurance representative, who wished to remain anonymous, brought in three large boxes of baked goods.
  • A mom, and her four sons, brought in handwritten notes, three boxes of cookies, and a festive balloon.
  • A young woman and a young man delivered cards expressing deep gratitude for our police personnel along with several boxes of cookies and coffee.
We are sincerely grateful for all the support we receive year-round, at especially at such a difficult time.
