Congratulations to Chaska and Chanhassen High Schools on a great baseball season.  Some great baseball was played at Chaska’s Athletic Park the past two nights between the Storm and the Hawks.  Chanhassen Storm will advance to the State Tournament, but some of the baseball ever witnessed was played at the Park.  Both games went down to the wire, with the Wednesday night game going into extra innings, and Chanhassen beating the Hawks 7-6.  This will be the first time the Storm has advanced to the State Tournament, which starts next Thursday at the Saints’ CHS Field in St. Paul.
The heart that the coaches and players put into the play over the last two evenings and the amount of passion and enthusiasm shown by the record crowds at the Athletic Park, was truly inspiring.  The games showcased some of the best athletes that the two communities have to offer.  A big thank you to all students, parents, and coaches for their effort, time and dedication put into representations of the communities and the pride exhibited in their hometowns.

First Chaska Farmer’s Market

Due to the rain and forecasted storms yesterday, the first Chaska Farmer’s Market scheduled at City Square Park was cancelled.  The event is scheduled for next Wednesday, June 10th, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and every Wednesday thereafter throughout the summer.  We hope to have better weather next week and a great turn out from both vendors and patrons.
Residents can check the City of Chaska website at or the City’s Facebook page for up to date information on weather cancellations in the future.  More information can also be found on the SW Chamber’s website at
