Sergeant Kyle Gibbons
On Thursday 14 May 2015, Kyle Gibbons was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant. Kyle joined the Chaska Police Department in 2000. He has served as a patrol officer, detective, a Field Training Officer (for new recruits), and for the past 14 years has dedicated many “above-and-beyond” hours as an advisor in our CPD Explorer Post; serving and inspiring many of our community’s young people toward civic engagement and positive lifestyles.
As an officer and detective, Sergeant Gibbons has received the following commendations:
2004 – Arrest of three individuals responsible for a check forging scheme that stole $20,000.00 from a bank. This arrest also led to the identification of members of a metro-wide theft/forgery ring.
2011 – Investigated, pursed and arrested a Level 3 Predatory Sex Offender (the most threatening and dangerous of sex offenders.)
2012 – Performed a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle and arrested the occupants for a burglary, based upon evidence found inside the car. The burglary had been just committed and not yet reported; indeed this was a crime in progress.
Congratulations to Sergeant Kyle Gibbons on your stellar career and promotion.
