Threat with Handgun – Male Arrested
On Thursday, 23 July 2015, at approximately 8 AM Chaska officers were called to the intersection of HWY 41 and 2nd
Street, in downtown Chaska, in regard to a male who had threatened another with a handgun.
Upon officers’ arrival the gun-wielding male, age 45, was taken into custody.
The officers learned:
The offender had stopped his pickup truck on 2nd
Street, just east of HWY 41 blocking traffic. This action stopped traffic movement and snarled the intersection. After a short time period another male motorist approached the pickup truck driver and asked if he could “please” move his vehicle.
The offender produced a handgun and pointed it at the inquiring male, swore at him and told him to get away from his truck. After a brief period a female then exited the pickup truck and entered a nearby business. The male then moved his truck.
The male, an Oregon resident, was arrested and jailed. He faces charges of Second Degree Assault, Pointing a Gun at Another, and Impeding Traffic.
