Chaska Officers issued 28 citations and 21 warning during this reporting period.
There were 246 calls for service.
A female assaulted her boyfriend in a parking lot during an altercation.  She struck his head several times, spit on him and threw her drink on him.  Police arrived and the female was charged with domestic assault and 5th degree assault.

A male was charged with felony theft, after shoplifting numerous items from area businesses.  Another male was charged with felony aiding and abetting theft.

A vehicle was stopped on Pine Street and the male driver had an active arrest warrant.  The male was in possession of heroin and was charged with felony 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.

A male driver struck a curb and drove onto the front lawn of a residence.  An officer located the vehicle and attempted to stop it.  The male drove a few blocks away and ran on foot to his residence in an attempt to flee.  Police apprehended the male and placed him under arrest.  He was charged with fleeing police in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  His vehicle is subject to forfeiture.

How Dare You!
While with a female acquaintance in her vehicle, a male accidentally spilled a soda pop while they were parked.   The female became irate and punched the male in the face several times.  They exited the vehicle and the female threw numerous items at him.  Police arrived and placed the female under arrest.  She struggled with officer as they took her into custody.  She was charged with domestic assault, 5th degree assault and obstructing the legal process with force.

Signs of Intelligent Life?  (Nope)
A person observed circles of lights in the sky and thought it was a UFO.  The police were contacted and responded to the area.  The officer advised the reporting party the lights were coming from Mystic Lake Casino.

A caller contacted the police and reported observing five elephants in the river.  No elephants were observed on the Chaska side of the river (we think they would stand out), so the call was transferred to Scott County.

Again… Dumbo?
An anonymous party called the police and reported “something with wings bigger than my car” flew by as the person was driving.  Could the “wings” have been ears?
