I was born and raised in Albuquerque NM, and have lived in Norfolk VA, Lake City MN, Prior Lake MN, Dacula GA, Sibley County, and now in this beautiful city of Chaska.
My career started in sales and customer service. I attended Normandale Community College majoring in Sales and Marketing. For the majority of my career, I was an Executive Assistant at Thermo King Corporation and Strout Plastics in Bloomington and DRIASI in Chanhassen. From 2000 to 2005, I was the V.P. of Operations/Office & Customer Service Manager for a large sports photography company in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Following the tragedy of ‘911’, I decided to return to Minnesota. I served as the City Clerk/Treasurer (Administrator), in a one-person city office in Sibley County from 2005 to 2009. During that time, I served on the Fire Board, Fire Relief Board, Park Board, the Economic Development Authority (EDA), served as the City’s Election Administrator and chaired the Sibley County EDA (SEDCO) during my last year.
I am the proud mother of three children: Steven Geisler, age 41, Scott Geisler, age 37 (and wife Tara), and daughter Shawna, age 27. My greatest joy are my precious grandchildren, Brady, age 7 and Isabella, age 2.
I recently retired and have been a resident of Chaska since July 2013.
The experience I gained while doing budget preparation, utility billing, website updates, payroll processing, year-end closing functions, issuing liquor licenses and building permits, preparing council packets, etc., uniquely prepared me to serve on a city council.
Chaska is a proud, beautiful, historical community that has something special to offer to all residents, regardless of age, interests or profession. Being elected to serve on the Chaska City Council is truly an honor and representing Ward 1 will be both a welcomed challenge and a great privilege!
