Drug Dealers Arrested – Drugs Confiscated – Property from $46,000.00 Burglary Recovered

On Monday, February 24, 2003, Chaska police officers executed three search warrants on two separate homes located on Ravoux Road, and Ehlers Avenue.

Acting upon information the department developed, officers searched a home, on Ravoux Road where evidence of marijuana and cocaine use, along with drug paraphernalia was collected.  While the search was being conducted, officers found a cache of stolen construction equipment taken in a burglary, which had been committed in Waconia, MN.  The total dollar value of the stolen property – including a stolen truck – was reported to be $46,000.00.  A male suspect, who admitted to committing the burglary, was turned over to Carver County authorities, along with the stolen property.

A search warrant executed on Ehlers Avenue lead to the confiscation of methamphetamine and crack cocaine with an approximated street value of $2000.00.  In addition to the illegal drugs, $1600.00 in drug trafficking currency was seized.

In all, as a result of this work, five adults were arrested.  The five were held on varying charges of drug use/trafficking, possession of stolen property, and child endangerment.

Three children ranging in ages of seven months, to four years old were placed in foster care.

“Our detectives and officers worked very hard on developing these cases, and I am very proud of them”, said Chief of Police Scott Knight.  “We took drugs and drug dealers off the street.  I am also very happy that we were able to help out the Waconia burglary victims, and the Sheriff’s department”, Knight said.
