Snowmobile Trail

The City of Chaska has made a special effort to accommodate snowmobilers by designating a snowmobile trail through the City. In addition to State laws regulating snowmobiles and their operation, the City has several important snowmobile laws which you should know and follow. They are for your own safety and the police department issues citations for violations. They include:

wNon-residents may operate snowmobiles only on designated trail.

wChaska residents may operate on the designated trail and to and from it by the most direct route on non-prohibited city streets.

Prohibited streets are:
County roads 10, 11, 14 and 17; MN Highways 212 and 41; 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Streets between Pine and Walnut; Cedar from 212 to 4th Beech St. from 4th to Stoughton; Stoughton from Beech to the east city limits.

wSnowmobiles may not be operated between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

wThe speed limit is 10 mph on streets and 20 mph at all other locations in Chaska.

wAll other prohibitions and requirements under MN laws also apply.

HAVE A SAFE SNOWMOBILE SEASON!
