Eric Chiles – Director of Instruction                         

 

Eric Chiles attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan where he received his Bachelors in Marketing with a minor in Professional Golf Management.   

He was elected for Class-A PGA Membership in January 2000 and has been in the golf business as an instructor since 1996.

 

Eric comes to The Chaska Town Course from the ESPN Golf Schools (2003- present) and was the Director of Instruction at The Wilds Golf Club from 2000 to 2006.  He has learned many of the most up-to-date instructional methods directly from Hank Haney- "Tiger's coach" while working with ESPN Golf Schools.  He is also currently one of 35 Lead Instructors in the United States working for the ESPN Golf Schools. 

 

Eric has an enjoyable approach to instruction and has experience with golfers of all levels.  His teaching philosophy is to make golf instruction easy to understand and fun while getting the student immediate results and improvements in their ball-flight.     

 

 

John Kellin - Head Golf Professional                                  

 

John Kellin returns for his second year as the PGA-Head Professional at the Chaska Town Course.  He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth and has been a golf professional since 1994.  John received his class-A PGA status in the spring of 2001.

 

With 13 years of teaching experience, John enjoys the one on one interaction with his students and looks forward to providing quality golf instruction on the lesson tee.  John is comfortable teaching golfers of all skill levels and abilities.  His greatest enjoyment comes from teaching juniors and beginners. 

 

Tom Peterson Assistant Golf Professional                                   

 

Tom Peterson comes from Phoenix, Arizona where he was an assistant golf professional at the Point Hilton at Tapatio Cliffs.  Tom holds a BS Degree in Business Management from the University of Minnesota.  He also holds a degree in Golf and Turfgrass Management from Mundus Golf Institute in Phoenix.  Tom has been a golf professional since 1995 and is currently enrolled in the PGA apprentice program.

 

Tom is excited about the growing interest in golf in the Midwest and is committed to improving the enjoyment of the game through quality instruction

 

Chad Weise - Assistant Golf Professional                                      

 

Chad comes to The Chaska Town Course from Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove.  He is originally from Maple Grove and is a graduate of St. Cloud State University.

He began his professional golf career in 2003 at Stonebrooke, and also spent two years at the Pines and Preserve at Grand View Lodge in Brainerd, MN.  Chad has experience  teaching players of all abilities in both group and private settings.  His greatest satisfaction as an instructor comes from helping his students enhance their enjoyment of the game.
