Junior Player Ability Test
Junior Playing and Etiquette Test Chaska Town Course requires Jr. players under the age of eighteen be accompanied by an adult while playing. Golfers between the ages of eight and eighteen may play without an adult after passing a playing ability/etiquette test. Juniors holding a current USGA eighteen hole handicap of 20 or less need only pass the etiquette portion of the test.
The playing ability test is designed to assure junior players can "keep pace" with other golfers. The test includes demonstrating the ability to:
drive a ball through the air 160 yards within a target range of 40 yards
hit iron shots to a target green from 130 yards 50% of the time
two putt from 20 feet 50% of the time.
The etiquette portion of the test involves demonstrating knowledge of:
speed of play guidelines
courtesy on the course
care of the course/repairing ball marks & replacing divots
